The Crazy Weekend.

Well. That weekend didn't go as expected. I left for KC Friday morning to try to beat the storm, but I got to Cassoday (about an hour away from Wichita) and got freaked out by the ice that was everywhere, so I turned around and came home.

Adam drove me up there Saturday evening, and we arrived a little before 9. Rachael and I saw Phantom of the Opera last night (while our hubbys played chess and video games...) and it was really good! It was fun to see a live show after watching the movie so many times. After that, Adam and I packed up and drove home so he could be at work this morning...we got home at 2am! I'm a little tired. So a whirlwind but fun trip! And bad news...I couldn't find my point-and-shoot camera before we left, and Rachael's was broken, so no pictures!

I have lots of upcoming sessions though, so be checking back soon!

As for my favorite musical. The only people who guessed were the people I said couldn't guess! So you all failed that contest, and I'll give you the answer as a freebie: Chicago. Do better next time. :)

Two Things

1) Adam and I got a new car!! Pictures will be coming soon...

2) I'm going to Kansas City this weekend to see my (second) all-time favorite LIVE show. Phantom of the Opera. A FREE 8x10 to the person who can guess my first all-time favorite. You can't guess if you're related to me in any way. Or if you're Rachael. Or Lindsey. :)

See y'all on Tuesday when I get back!

Renny

Yesterday afternoon, I photographed Renny, a senior from Independent with super cool clothes! We set a record for the number of outfits used in a session, I think. Renny and I meticulously scheduled her session just a few days after she got back from her spring break trip to Mexico so that she'd have a fabulous tan for the photos. Renny, you looked great. Here are some of my faves from her session.

Mallorie + Dave

Saturday, Lindsey and I shot Mallorie and Dave's wedding at Eastside. I'd never been to this church before, and it had lots of fun spots for photos. The bride was absolutely gorgeous, and Dave was so in love with her...so of course it was a perfect day. After a few photos of the bride and groom, we headed over to the Ville for dinner and dancing. Here are some of my favorites from the day. Lindsey should be blogging a few of hers soon!

Cora's Legacy

Cora's parents were on the news last night, and they got to share their awesome faith with all of Kansas! Click here for the link and then click on the left side where it says Worldwide Support for Cora's Playground under the featured video. Awesome! :)

Elias

Baby Eli is here! You gotta have respect for his mommy Lisa for going through the labor without any drugs. She said the labor was only 2 1/2 hours though, so that makes things a little better. :) Eli covered the spectrum - we got pee, poop, and spitup all in the 45 minutes he was here for his session yesterday! Its okay, he was so little and sweet and cute and soft. Ohh, babies. Here are a few of the faves from his session.

Emily + Clayton

Emily and I go back a few years...we met at church and hung out a few times. I saw her at a wedding back in October with a new man on her arm and she said they might be needing my services soon. Well, Clayton proposed in November, and I think I was probably one of the first people she texted with the news so that she could for sure get her date reserved. I love people who are so enthusiastic about their wedding photography! Anywho, our session yesterday was amazing. The weather was perfect, I was even getting a little warm. We went to a couple new places including a dairy plant and got some great images. A big thanks to Clayton and Emily for not judging the places I took them and trusting me to do my thing! I have one word for you: scandalous. :) Can't wait for your wedding in August!
