Mandilyn

My second session this evening was Mandilyn. She goes to Halstead High and is attending Tabor next year to play volleyball. She's done some modeling and pageants, so she was a natural in front of the camera. I took her to a brand new location - a scrap metal yard that I've been eyeing for some time now. I finally called the owner of the yard for permission. He was more than willing to let me use it, but he couldn't understand why I would want to! I think these photos explain why. :)

Branden

This afternoon and evening I had two senior photo sessions. First up was Branden, who's a senior at Bishop Carroll. His aunt and uncle own the local photo printing shop here where I get most of my pictures printed - so that's how they found me! We were able to go to a new location, a small farm in the middle of town, so that was fun. Anyway, here are my favorites from this session:

Photoshop Art

Today I took some pictures of the beautiful daffodils that are blooming in front of our house. They're just so pretty! Then I played around in Photoshop with the colors, just for fun. Here's the original (with just a little work done to amp up the color):

My Family Photo

This weekend we celebrated my grandparent's 50th wedding anniversary with a family photo session and a steak dinner. Here's a photo of our whole family.

Or dentist, or hair stylist, or dermatologist. Whatever you need! I was supposed to have a senior today, but the session was canceled again due to the wind. But I wanted to post something, so I decided to showcase one of the cosmetic procedures that I can do - teeth whitening!

Colin

Finally, some new photos! My session for last night was canceled due to inclement weather, but luckily we were still able to the one I had scheduled for this morning. Meet Colin, a senior at Goddard who is planning to attend KU in the fall. Both his parents came along for the session, and we were all troopers because while it may look like great weather in the photos, it was COLD! Here are the favorites.














I also wanted to put out there that if anyone knows of some cool, photogenic locations around Wichita, please share! I'm running out of fun, new places to go, Adam and I drove around for hours this afternoon looking for places, but didn't find much. If you know of any junkyards, broken down cars or train cars, or even some cool woods and creek areas, that would be great!

New Section on the Website

Hi! So still no new pictures. Sorry for that tidbit of bad news. I do have a senior session tonight, so we'll see if the rain holds off for that.

Anyway, I wanted to let all of you brides out there know about a new section on my website. If you go to the main site at www.ginadreherphotography.com, and click on "raves & info" you'll find the new section at the bottom (use the arrows to the right of the text to scroll down). It's links to other wedding vendors. There are only a few on there right now, but the list should grow soon!

Boring Blog

Hi everyone! I apologize for this blog becoming boring. I've just been working a lot for Boeing and doing a lot of behind-the-scenes stuff for GDP, but no sessions. We do have a couple weddings and several sessions coming up in the near future, so stay tuned!

How to Order

To place your order, you may either mail or email us an order form. If you email your order (an Excel spreadsheet works well for this), be sure to include sizes, quantities, and finishes. We can figure your total for you and email you back with that as soon as possible.

The image numbers you will use to refer to your photos can be found at the bottom of your gallery next to the arrows you use to scroll through your photos. Image numbers start with your initials, so look for a number that fits that format.

Unfortunately, we don't accept credit cards at this time. Once you place your order, you must send us a check for at least half of the order amount. You'll pay the rest of your balance when you come to pick up your order. If you live somewhere other than Wichita and wish to do your entire transaction by mail, you must pay in full up front. Call or email for our mailing address.

Overtime Rates:
Any amount of coverage beyond what is specified in your package will be $120/hour, billed at 15 minute intervals. This includes both photographers' time, and may be pre-purchased.

Travel Fee:
-Applies to sessions and weddings outside of Sedgwick County . . $0.50/mile
-If our services are required later than 8:00 pm at a location more than 100 miles from Wichita, hotel costs must be covered by you.

Wedding Date Reservation:
To reserve your wedding date, a deposit in the amount of $750 is required. This deposit is applied to your package. The rest of the balance is due 2 weeks prior to your wedding date. You must also sign a wedding contract to reserve your date.

Pricing

After much debate, I've finally decided (in the spirit of going green) to put all my pricing online. I'll link the appropriate post from my main website for people to view pricing specific to their needs. Here's the explanation post, the wedding, senior, and family posts will soon follow!

Breegan

This morning I took photos of my niece, Breegan, and then as you'll see, I also tried (unsuccessfully) to get photos the older kids, Aubrynn and Corbin. Breegan is almost 4 months old already! Seems like just yesterday I was trying to help Jessica come up with baby names. Here are some of my favorites:

All the kids' feet. It was a miracle that I got this photo, let me tell ya. :)

And here started the fighting. I felt kinda bad because while Jessica was trying to calm the kids down (all three were screaming), I was laughing because I was looking through the photos I'd taken of them fighting, and they were so funny! I love these three to death, but they sure are ornery. Check em out:
