We have a new addition to the Gingeroot team - the lovely Nikia! She will be helping out at the front desk along with Ginger.

She brought her little man, Isaiah yesterday, and he was being fussy while she was answering the phone, so I went and got him from the pack-n-play so he could come hang out with me while mom was busy. Isaiah's a little flirt! He's so funny and happy. Here's us.

Stacy & Chris

Saturday evening, Adam and I photographed Stacy and Chris's wedding in Salina. What a great day to get married...the weather was absolutely perfect. The bride was so laid back and easy going, she let me do whatever I wanted. :) Stacy and I went to high school together, so it was fun seeing a lot of familiar faces in the wedding party. After a couple quick stops between the ceremony and reception for photos, we took the party bus to their reception for a night of (amazing) dinner and dancing! Here are the faves.

Hello world! Welcome back to my blog. I have several quick updates for you:

-My Friday night shoot was cancelled due to a crazy downpour about an hour before we were supposed to start shooting. Bummer!

-Remember how I told you we had two weddings this weekend? Well, to explain, the first one was just a quick ceremony and a few photos of the couple in a park. They're having their big ceremony and reception next week in Nebraska, and have asked that I keep the photos from this past weekend secret until after the big wedding. So those will be posted next week.

-The other wedding we did on Saturday was a blast! I'll be posting photos from Stacy & Chris's wedding later today.

-At that wedding, we weren't allowed to be anywhere but the balcony during the ceremony. So we rented a GIGANTIC 400mm f/2.8 lens from MJ Lens Rentals (who was great to work with!) so we could get as close up as possible and here's a photo of Adam using the big honker.

Blog Slacking

I know there hasn't been much posting lately. SORRY. I've been a busy bee, going crazy designing albums and editing. OKAY? :)

To get you excited, I have a shoot this evening as well as TWO weddings on Saturday (kinda....I'll explain later).

All to say, blogging will commence next week!

Loss

Yesterday, Lindsey lost her cousin Jared. She was very close to him, and this is a really rough time for her and her family. If you could keep them all in your prayers, I know they'll appreciate it.

Lindsey's a Freak

The other night, Lindsey came along with me on an engagement shoot to hold a light. THANKS BUDDY! At one point, we tried having her stand behind the couple, and the idea was to blast the light so she wouldn't show up...but during some of my test shots, she definitely showed up. Bonne & John - 9.9.09

Last night, I photographed Bonne and John's wedding in Andover. It was so fun to see the blending of their two families...between them, they have 6 kids! The oldest, Natalie is actually one of my good friends. She was even a bridesmaid in my wedding. I've used Natalie as a model before, and I've taken all three of her brothers senior pictures, so Dad was the last one for me to capture in the family. :)

Bonne's dress looked amazing on her, I must say.

They're having a reception tomorrow night, so they just had cake and punch after the ceremony last night. But their song came on, and they just started dancing in the middle of everything. It was perfect!
