Judgement House

Judgement House is in full swing at my church! You should definitely come check it out if you have a chance. Click on the link for the tour times.

For those of you who don't know, Judgement House is a walk-through drama that depicts the life of two people who die and go to Judgement, and then Heaven or hell. It's a really powerful tool our church has used for many years to reach people for Jesus. In past years, I've been in the hell scene, or done registration or interviews, but this year, I'm a tour guide! Tour guides are the ones who explain the story and take you from room to room. You should definitely come check it out, and maybe I'll be your guide! Here's me and my friend Val taking a break and posing with our script. :)

In other news, Fall is in full swing! I just love fall. It means busy busy busy for photographers, but I love knowing that the holidays are just around the corner. Here's a photo I took recently during a shoot...the colors are so fun.

Breanna

Yesterday I took Breanna's senior pictures. Once again, we were battling some crazy Kansas wind. Seriously...not only do we have all this rain ruining our pictures lately, but wind too! But we made the best of it, and trekked around Great Plains Nature Center for the majority of her session. Breanna has big plans to hopefully move to California at some point for college, and I hope it happens for her! Here are some of my faves.

Camille & Stephen - 10.16.09

This past Friday, Lindsey and I (coined the "Dream Team" by this bride...needless to say, we love her!) photographed Camille and Stephen's wedding at St. Anthony's. This wedding was a long time coming. These two have been together for NINE years! It was so cool to be there when they finally were married. We took plenty of time before the ceremony for photos, and went to some cool grungy spots. Their reception was at the Museum of World Treasures, right next door to the studio. What a cool venue! We walked around the museum while we were waiting for guests to arrive and took photos with the exhibits. And at the reception, Camille surprise Stephen with a video game themed cake! You'll see his reaction below. :)

Congratulations Camille and Stephen. You two were awesome to work with! Lindsey and I wish you health, happiness, and LOVE!

The rest of Camille & Stephen's photos will be available online in 3-5 weeks. Please send me an email at gina@gingerootstudios.com to be notified when they're up.

Sneak Peek: Camille & Stephen

Here's a sneak peek from Camille and Stephen's wedding this weekend. More to come tomorrow!

Things Lindsey Says...

Lindsey: "Manatees? I learned all about squids one day on tv."
Gina: "What?"
Lindsey: "Don't act like you don't know."

Wood Family

Look how cute they are!! This family was so much fun...what a good way to spend an afternoon. The oldest daughter, Val is one of my close friends. Her hubby, Luis (with the red hair) is...erm...my friend too I guess. :) They actually lead our small group at church. The second youngest daughter, Olivia might look familiar to you all. I took her senior photos this summer and then she modeled for us at ROOTS. They were very eager to be goofy, as you'll see in some of the last photos.

Anna & Ben - Trash the Dress

Last night Lindsey and I went to a new place I'd never shot before in Newton to photograph Anna's trash the dress session. She brought along hubby, Ben, as an accessory. Just kidding! Ben was awesome. Especially with his steel-toed, water-filled rubber boots. We started out with a few bridals, and then went back in to some gorgeous wooded trails and an awesome little creek. Anna and Ben were so brave to get in the freezing water. Thanks for being troopers guys! Lindsey was a great light-holder and joke-maker. We had a lot of laughs thanks to her. Everyone worked together for this super fun session and it turned out perfect!
