Bonne & John - 9.9.09

Last night, I photographed Bonne and John's wedding in Andover. It was so fun to see the blending of their two families...between them, they have 6 kids! The oldest, Natalie is actually one of my good friends. She was even a bridesmaid in my wedding. I've used Natalie as a model before, and I've taken all three of her brothers senior pictures, so Dad was the last one for me to capture in the family. :)

Bonne's dress looked amazing on her, I must say.

First sight:

Natalie's on the left, and Bonne's daughter is on the right. The bridal party was made up of all their kids. So fun.

The Stegman family!

They're having a reception tomorrow night, so they just had cake and punch after the ceremony last night. But their song came on, and they just started dancing in the middle of everything. It was perfect!

Congratulations Bonne and John!

The rest of Bonne and John's photos will be available online in 3-5 weeks. Please send me an email at gina@gingerootstudios.com to be notified when they're up.

Jen & Ruse

Sunday afternoon, Ginger and I photographed Jen & Ruse's wedding at Tanganyika Wildlife Park in Goddard. Talk about a cool place for a wedding. Jen and I were best friends in 6th grade before she started going to a different school. I hung out with her a couple times at K-State, but hadn't seen her family since I was like 12. It was neat to see some familiar faces again. Ruse is such an awesome guy...I'm so happy for them! He's always got a smile on his face and was so easy-going. Jen's dress was beautiful, and the details were awesome and mostly animal themed - she had zebra print shoes for the reception as well as zebra candles and cupcakes! At the reception, we had some animals come in for a visit, and the guests got to get an up close view. We plan on going out for even more photos in their wedding clothes after they get back from Greece. Can't wait!

Notice the case of Rockstar next to the flowers in the fridge? :)

Jen had red margarita spilled on her dress at the reception. She handled it like a champ, and had it scrubbed with Sprite in the back room - which got most of it out!

Jen and her cousin, Kristin, who was my roommate for a year and a half at K-State.

Congrats Jen & Ruse, you guys are awesome!

The rest of Jen and Ruse's photos will be available online in 3-5 weeks. Please send me an email at gina@gingerootstudios.com to be notified when they're up.

Sarah & Ryan

Last night I had the pleasure of photographing Sarah and Ryan's engagement photos. It was so fun to get to know these two better since I'd never met Ryan and hadn't spoken with Sarah except for once back in February. They're so sweet, and Sarah loves Twilight, so that made me like them even more. :) Is that bad? Anywho....we found an AMAZING field of wild sunflowers to take photos in and I think those are some of my all-time favorites now! Since we left that til the end of the session, we had some gorgeous light too.

Fall & Winter Sessions

Due to many circumstances that will be too involved to explain, I will only be taking a limited number of non-wedding-or-engagement related clients during late October, November, and December. If you're wanting a family shoot for Christmas cards or senior photos in the fall, please book soon, or you might miss out! I want to shoot you! :) Hehe.
