Adam and Gina Got Married!

...a long time ago. I've been working with my wedding pictures, so I decided to post one of our favorites on here. Taken by Greg Patterson.

Our wedding day was perfect, and it was a long time coming. We'd been dating for 4 1/2 years and had been engaged for almost a year and a half. We were so ready to spend the rest of our lives together! So on June 3, 2006, we were married. We had a super casual wedding since we're such laid back people. Adam and the groomsmen wore shirts and ties with flip flops. Adam surprised me and SANG to me during our ceremony. Oh my gosh, talk about surreal. I've never heard him sing before or since. :) He sang Nothing Fancy, by Dave Barnes. You should check it out. After the amazing wedding, we went to Maui, Hawaii for our honeymoon and had the time of our lives. We're planning on going back next year.

So there's a little run down of my wedding day. I know you were all so curious. :) I love you Adam and I'm so happy to be married to you!

FEET SHOES

So my friend Ginger (no relation to Gingeroot, teehee...) is here in the studio with us today and she told us about these amazing shoes that her brother-in-law sent her. They're like feet, but they're shoes!!

EDIT
: Ginger went home and took a picture of her feet shoes on her feet!!

Things Lindsey Says...

"That's really great. He should be dark more often."

Updates...

Hello?! Anyone still reading this blog? Sorry for the lack of new stuff lately. There's been a lot going on, just not a lot of picture-taking. So this post is dedicated to updating you all on my life. First, I wanted to post a picture, and since this is one of few pictures I've taken recently....

That's my mangled Jeep. She's been in yet another wreck. BEFORE all this ice. Yesterday morning on my way to the studio, a truck ran a red light in front of me right as I was going through the intersection and I couldn't stop in time and hit him. Teaches me to have a workplace that requires ANY commuting. It could've been a lot worse, so I'm thankful for that, but any sort of car accident sure ruins your life for awhile.

Update number two. I had the FLU this weekend. I never get sick! It was disgusting and horrible. I'm glad it only lasted a day and was on a day I had no weddings. Let's pray that never happens again. I'm trying to continue my lingering lack of appetite as long as I can in hopes of losing a couple holiday pounds. We'll see how that goes. Yesterday's menu: cheese and Sprite. Todays? Lunchmeat and baby carrots.

Number three. As I said, I've been doing a lot, just not a lot of picture taking. It seems this is the time for everyone to give me their list of favorite photos for their albums. I have stacks of album designing to do, and I continue to chip away at it, but I keep getting more. I love album designing, so it's great for me, but just wanted to post a bulletin that it may take awhile for me to get back to you with your layouts.

Number four. Soon (hopefully), I will be designing my own wedding album! When did GINA get married, you ask? Two and a half years ago. And I still have not made my own wedding album. Appalling, I know. Once I finally get to it, I'll put some of the photos/layouts on here so you can see what a handsome man I married. :)

Number five. I'm working on editing the last wedding I photographed and since it's taken me a little while, I'm going to do another blog post in honor of Monica and Jeremy. I apologize it's taken so long! I haven't forgotten about you! Your wedding was AWESOME!

That's all for now, folks. Have a great week, and try not to get in a wreck or get the flu. :)

Things Lindsey Says...

Gina: "What peekture should I put at the top of my blaog?"
Lindsey: "One of you making a really really really really funny face."
Gina: "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO....s."
Lindsey: "How many?"

Wedding Cake

This post is long overdue, but Lindsey's donut post inspired me to blog about food too. The night of our Gingeroot Christmas party back in mid December, Adam surprised us all with a little something. He'd gone to a bakery and had a mini wedding cake made for Lindsey and me to symbolize the (ahem) marriage of our businesses! We even did the traditional cake cut with both of our hands on the knives. I believe we stopped at the feeding each other part. We had the rest of the cake in the freezer and I went and dug it out today...we might have a little later on. Yum yum.

Issa Kiddos

This afternoon, I helped Lindsey photograph the cutest kids! Their parents own a restaurant a few doors down from the studio, and Lindsey has photographed them several times. They're quite rambunctious, so it was a challenge to get a photo of them together, but I think we got a few keepers. Here are some of my favorites!

Living Room

Since I'm no longer working out of my home, I had to figure out a fun way to decorate my old show room. I wanted it to be photography related since no other rooms in our house are (and since that's such a huge part of who I am), so I came up with the idea of photographing some urban-y looking scenes from around Wichita and turning them into amazing sepia-toned pieces of art. Here are a few from my collection. If you'd like to buy any of these, let me know! I'll hook you up. :)

Lobby Prints!

I finally got some of my wedding prints up in the lobby of the studio! I guess that means it's official? I took some pictures so you can all see if you made the wall. After I took these, I realized I hadn't yet taken and shown you any pictures of the studio. So here you can at least see the two sides of the lobby! Isn't it fun?!

Monica & Jeremy

Last Friday, Monica and Jeremy were married in a traditional Greek Orthodox ceremony. It was a very interesting ceremony to photograph. I met these two last year, but since we didn't do engagements, I hadn't gotten a chance to really know them til their wedding day...and they were so fun! They were up for some fun photos at a nearby park (where Monica's Cathedral length veil did not cooperate with the wind), and definitely got their groove on at the reception. Here are some of my favorites from this fun day.
