Crystal & Nathan

I hadn't done an engagement session in quite awhile, so I was pretty excited for Crystal and Nathan's session tonight. I first met Nathan when he was a groomsman in a wedding I shot in Manhattan on New Year's Eve. These two are also having a December wedding in Manhattan, which is a great place to photograph. I had a wonderful evening with them tonight, they were so sweet to each other, it's so refreshing to meet two people who are head over heels in love. Can't wait for the wedding!




I can't tell if this is hard to see or not. It's her engagement ring setting inside his footprint.







This was so cool! While we were walking around Old Town, we saw these two guys on bikes giving rides in their cart things. Had to ask if we could use it for a shot!

Stretched Canvas Gallery Wraps

Today we received a 20x24 canvas wrap in the mail for one of our customers. I was really happy with how it turned out - I haven't printed many of these yet, so it was exciting to see it. I took several photos so that you can get an idea of what it looks like. I put it next to a recipe box so you can see the size:

The photo wraps around the edges (hence the word "wrap" in the name), and it's on 1.5" thick wood.

Sisters

This evening I photographed a family of four sisters and their mom. They all have different last names, so I wasn't sure what to title this post! Anyway, I took one of the sister's daughters senior pictures last fall, and we've been in touch about doing this session for several months now. We finally got a day that worked for everyone, and the weather cooperated! Here are a few of my favorites.

Emme

This evening, we beat the rainstorm in time to take Emme's 1 year photos. She was just precious. She had her own entourage that consisted of her mom, dad, older sister, and grandma, and she had tons of toys and outfits for the photos. The family was great, lugging all her stuff around and standing behind me singing Emme's favorite songs to get her to smile. She tried to eat all the flowers we posed her in front of, and I think she even swallowed an ant! It was a great time. :) Here are some of my favorites. It was so hard to choose!

Elyse

This evening was my first-ever belly session! I was pretty excited. Elyse was just a year above me at our high school in Newton, and she (almost) has two kiddos, so I have a little catching up to do! :) Elyse's due date isn't for another month, but she's ready to be done with it. She's in for a surprise though - she decided not to find out the sex of the baby. How brave! Here are my favorites from her session.

Skylin - 1 Year

This evening I took photos of little Skylin. This was the third time I photographed her - it's crazy to think that her mom got in touch with me for newborn pictures before she was even born! We went to a park where she played on the playground, kicked her soccer ball, and read a book about Jayhawks. We got some really great shots of her, here are my favorites.
