Kim & Posse

This morning I photographed Kim, two adorable kids with her soon-to-be third kid. These kiddos love me for some crazy reason and it's just so fun! Brooks told me what a great job I was doing and Evin ran around the studio yelling "Gina! Gina!" Kim and her hubby Thom will welcome their new little girl in just a few short weeks. Here are my faves from their session.

Josh

FINALLY!! Yesterday, I finally took Josh's senior pictures. I've known him since he was a little bitty freshman and it's been great watching him grow up. I took his family photos and I photographed his sister Helen's wedding where he was a groomsman, and he's been dreading his senior pictures all that time. He just hates being forced to smile! So we started out at NewSpring with the drums because Josh is an AMAZING drummer. I'm not just saying that. Sometimes during church, I just sit back in awe of his talent. Little sidenote: he even played drums in my wedding! He was in on Adam's scheme to surprise me during the ceremony by singing to me. We ended the session at a park and got some great, laid back shots. Now....to the photos!

The Crazy Weekend.

Well. That weekend didn't go as expected. I left for KC Friday morning to try to beat the storm, but I got to Cassoday (about an hour away from Wichita) and got freaked out by the ice that was everywhere, so I turned around and came home.

Adam drove me up there Saturday evening, and we arrived a little before 9. Rachael and I saw Phantom of the Opera last night (while our hubbys played chess and video games...) and it was really good! It was fun to see a live show after watching the movie so many times. After that, Adam and I packed up and drove home so he could be at work this morning...we got home at 2am! I'm a little tired. So a whirlwind but fun trip! And bad news...I couldn't find my point-and-shoot camera before we left, and Rachael's was broken, so no pictures!

I have lots of upcoming sessions though, so be checking back soon!

As for my favorite musical. The only people who guessed were the people I said couldn't guess! So you all failed that contest, and I'll give you the answer as a freebie: Chicago. Do better next time. :)

Two Things

2) I'm going to Kansas City this weekend to see my (second) all-time favorite LIVE show. Phantom of the Opera. A FREE 8x10 to the person who can guess my first all-time favorite. You can't guess if you're related to me in any way. Or if you're Rachael. Or Lindsey. :)

Renny

Yesterday afternoon, I photographed Renny, a senior from Independent with super cool clothes! We set a record for the number of outfits used in a session, I think. Renny and I meticulously scheduled her session just a few days after she got back from her spring break trip to Mexico so that she'd have a fabulous tan for the photos. Renny, you looked great.
