Matt & Steph 5-31-08

Yesterday was Matt and Steph's wedding in Hesston. Adam and I took along a third photographer, our friend Audra. She did a great job! The day started out at the church, which was located on a college campus, so there were lots of pretty trees to take photos by. The ceremony was beautiful, and they had a huge turnout of guests. Before the reception, we stopped at the arboretum for photos of the couple and wedding party. The reception was at the groom's parents' house, in tents on their land. The night of dancing was topped off with a romantic fireworks show before the couple left for their honeymoon. Here are my favorites from yesterday.

Hopper Family

This afternoon I photographed the Hopper family. I'm good friends with their cousins and I've photographed just about every family within the Hopper clan - I always love meeting more! :) The skies were overcast, but there was no rain, which made for perfect lighting! And the two kids were such cuties, they couldn't take a bad photo. Here are my favorites.

Jhoe & Arlie

Yesterday Adam and I went to Manhattan to photograph Jhoe and Arlie's wedding. We started out by meeting Jhoe at the salon, and I discovered that I love taking salon photos! After that, we went to Hale Library on the K-State campus to have their first meeting. They didn't have a wedding party, so we were able to focus all the photos just on the bride and groom, which was really nice - we got a ton of great shots. Their ceremony was at St. Thomas More church, and then we went to the reception at the K-State Student Union, where there was a bunch of dancing and costumes! Here are my favorites from yesterday.

Update

Hi everyone! I will be posting some new pictures soon, I promise.

In the meantime, just wanted to let you all know that we are currently trying to sell our house. There have been a ton of showings, which translates into me not being able to be in my office, which translates into me not being able to get much work done (though, I do appreciate the break). So please be patient with me, as it may take a little longer for your photos to be posted and for me to call you about prints being ready. I also may have to close the office for a bit if we sell this house without finding a new one, and have to live in a hotel!

Oh, and if anyone is interested in a super cute 2-bedroom 2-bath (1 bath IN the master bedroom) with a big fenced-in backyard and 1-car garage, let me know! :)

Smet Family

This evening I took pictures of the Smet family. The oldest daughter, Alissa and I were friends in high school, and her brother Corey, who is just a year younger than us was also around all the time. I hadn't seen them in years, so it was fun to get together again. Here are my favorites from their session.
