Photographer Gloves

I found the perfect photographer gloves at Target this weekend! I even bought Lindsey a pair for Christmas since they're so perfect (don't worry, I already spoiled the surprise for her). Look!

Instead of having those gloves where all the fingers are missing, you can just peel back and button the forefinger and thumb parts! There are little buttons to hook the fingers back or you can leave them on and wear them like regular gloves. CRAZY COOL!!!

Christmas Deadline

Hellooooooo everyone. So sorry I'm not more on top of things, but wanted to let you know the Christmas deadline. In order to get prints and Christmas cards here before Christmas, everything needs to be ordered by Monday, December 14.

Christmas Break

Just wanted to let you all know about our plans for Christmas! Can you believe it's almost here? We will be closed from December 19 to January 4. We'll pop in every now and again to check messages and emails, but for the most part we will be enjoying some much needed rest, relaxation, and time with our families. I hope you will all be doing the same!

Cutie Isaiah and His Parents

That's how we had this session labeled on the calendar. Do you recognize Isaiah? He's our mascot. Well...his mom is Nikia, one of our lovely front desk ladies, so he gets to hang out with us a lot. We braved the freezing cold for about 15 minutes on Monday to get a couple shots of this family. Also took a few of cutie Isaiah to celebrate him being 8 months. Nikia is up front right now, anxiously awaiting this preview, so POST!

You hear me talk about them all the time, so here's a photo of my little family. I love all these boys so much!

Lindsey and I drove over to a pretty location near Adam's school today so we could take a family photo over his lunch break. I just wanted ONE good photo, and she literally took about 12 pictures, and we got this one!

Anna & Ben's Album

Since I haven't had many shoots this week, I thought I'd update the blog with something else that's keeping me super busy...albums! Albums are a fun way to get a lot of your photos without having just a bunch of loose prints. My suggestion to people is always to get an album and then large prints. That's what I'd do. :)

Anyschways...I made an album last week for the couple who did a Trash the Dress session with me, and I thought I'd share the covers and a couple layouts. They got a few Image Wrap Books, which have fun covers where the image (gasp!) WRAPS around. :) Enjoy!

And I didn't even tell the couple this, but I'm ordering a sample of this album so I can encourage all you brides out there to do Trash the Dress or Bridal sessions!

Tara + Chad

This couple wins the prize for being cute. And fun. And laid back. And awesome. :) Chad and I have known each other for a couple years through mutual friends, and then Tara and I found out that our parents went to high school together. Small world! These two gave me complete creative control, which I loved, and they were just so excited to have their engagement photos taken. We had rescheduled back from the day earlier this month that SNOWED and we had perfect weather yesterday. Thanks for a fun afternoon Tara and Chad, I'm super excited for your wedding in April!

Happy 1 Year!

Today marks the first anniversary of the newly improved Gingeroot Studios. December 1, 2008 was the day I packed up my office at my house and moved into the studio. I don't know what I was thinking...what if I hated Lindsey?

Luckily she's pretty cool and I'm so blessed to have gotten to know her, and also to work in this beautiful studio.
