Emily - Trash the Dress

This evening Audra and I photographed another Trash the Dress session. It was so fun! We hadn't met Emily before, but she was a great sport. Actually, I did meet her in passing at church once a while back, but anyway. We talked a guy into letting us use his bike (well, actually he offered, under the condition that he could marry Emily...), and of course we had to get in some water at the end! It just wouldn't be a Trash the Dress without water. Here are the favorites.

Floating Down a River...

Just a heads up to let you all know that I'll be out of town this weekend. I'm going on a float trip for the bachelorette party of my bestie, Rachael. I'll be back Monday!

Brittany & Tyler - 7.19.08

Finally here are some more pictures from Brittany and Tyler's wedding on Saturday. Tyler is my second cousin, so a lot of the guests were my family, which was fun. The wedding was beautiful, Brittany chose pink as her main color, and the flowers and bridesmaid dresses were gorgeous! After the ceremony and cake-and-punch reception, we headed over to a nearby house that had pretty landscaping and a pond with a paddleboat for pictures. Here are my favorites.

I finally have Photoshop back! So exciting. Here are several more of my favorites from Monday's trash the dress session.

Lindsey - Trash the Dress

Last night I had my first trash the dress session with Lindsey. I photographed her wedding back in May, and she was a great sport last night - totally up for anything. We had her traipsing through fields of wildflowers, laying down in the river, and playing in a fountain. It was so fun! I still don't have everything with my computer up and running, but my friend Audra was gracious enough to let me use her Photoshop this afternoon. Here are a few of my faves, I'll probably post more in a few days.

Brittany & Tyler - Sneak Peek

This afternoon, Adam and I went to Inman to photograph Brittany and Tyler's wedding. I still don't have my new computer or Photoshop installed, so I'm not able to do a full post, but I thought I'd at least share one of my favorite images from today.

Facebook

Still no new computer, so no new pictures to post. I apologize. But I just wanted to put something out there. I've heard how great facebook can be for marketing, so I made a facebook page for my business recently. I'd love it if all you blog readers could add it to your page and help me get the word out there. Plus, when you add it, it calls you my "fan," and I would feel so cool if I had a lot of fans. :)

Computer Up...Kinda

So remember my good friend Luis? Well, he saved my computer. And saved me a bunch of money. Thanks Luis. We weren't able to recover my hard drive but we were able to replace it. I still have to re-buy/re-install all my programs, so I won't be able to do any work for a few days, but at least I'm not computer-less. And I'm getting a new computer too! A new Imac! So I'll probably be selling some of my old stuff. Anyway...there's your update. :)

Computer Down

This is just a heads up that our computers aren't working...my good friend Luis says that the hard drive is ruined. Bad news is that I'll probably have to buy a new computer. Good news is that I didn't lose anything too important. Thank goodness for backing everything up twice!! Anyway, it's going to take longer than normal to get your pictures online. Thanks for understanding!

Danny & Aeneva - 7.12.08

Yesterday Adam and I photographed Danny and Aeneva's wedding at Central Community Church here in Wichita. This day had been a long time coming - they've been together for seven years! The wedding was beautiful, Aeneva is part Pakistani, so they incorporated that into the ceremony, food, and dance music. While it rained on and off, we were able to sneak outside in between the showers to take some photos by the small pond at the church. Congratulations, you two! Here are my favorites from the day.

Ott Family

This evening I photographed the Ott Family over at Eastborough Park. They go to church at NewSpring, where Adam and I go. Kim's mom was in town for the week, so it was great that we were able to take some photos while she was here! Their dad, Thom, refused to be in any photos, but maybe next time... :) He used to be a professional baseball player, and I have yet to photograph anyone famous, so I'm kinda counting on that. Here are my favorites.

Sarah

Sarah is Bryce's sister. She's like the cutest thing EVER. I've always loved her hair. And she had such great outfits. Sarah's a flag girl in the color guard at Andover, so we got a few action shots of her twirling her flag. Here are my favorites.

Bryce

This evening I photographed my first seniors for 2009! Bryce and his sister Sarah go to my church and are in the youth group there. Bryce was awesome to photograph - I would tell him where I wanted him, and he would basically pose himself. It was almost like a shoot for an album cover. I got some really artistic stuff with him that I loved. Here are my favorites.

Colorado

Well, bad news. I forgot my camera. It's true. I'm ashamed. Here's one picture of my family that was taken with my parents' camera, that's all you get. I apologize.

Updates

I've had several random thoughts that I need to share with you all, so I'm compiling them here, in one post.

-I will be out of town, visiting my brother in Colorado from tomorrow (Thursday) through Sunday. I will have email access, but won't be answering the phone, so either email or leave a message - which will be returned on Monday!

-Stay tuned for some scenic photos from Colorado. I'm not usually into scenic photography, but I'm gonna take a stab at it. :)

-Our pricing is going to have a mini-makeover in September. Portrait sessions and digital negative prices will be going up. If you've signed a wedding contract, your digital negative price will stay as listed in your contract. Questions about this...contact me at gina@ginadreherphotography.com.

-I still haven't photographed a Trash the Dress session! Anyone interested in being my first (and having a free session) contact me at gina@ginadreherphotography.com.

-Effective immediately, we are going to offer an Event Session. This applies to parties, concerts, and other things of that nature. Does not apply to portraits or weddings. The price of the Event Session is $120/hour.

-Lastly, everything with the sale of our house and moving to our new one has fallen through. So we'll be in our current location for awhile! Also, if you know of anyone interested in a 2 bedroom, 2 bath, be sure to let them know about ours. Contact me at gina@ginadreherphotography.com for more details.
